Work around the ranch has been in full swing this summer season! Maintaining food plots, building roads, and growing some serious bone have been the main priorities in the preserve.
Fawning season was very productive this spring. Our genetics are proving to produce big, healthy, strong fawns that have consistently been growing typical racks with thick beams and tall tines. We can’t wait to add this year’s additions to the preserve herd and watch them grow up with the big boys next year.
We are pleased to welcome our new herd manager, Emma Gehring, to the team.
Emma, studied Animal Science at the local university, UW-River Falls, has played a huge role in taking care of the new fawns and monitoring the health of the herd; she has experience that she will be able to use to help the continued improvement of our already distinguished genetic lines.
